  • Time flexible (40-55 minutes)
  • Educational and entertaining
  • Curriculum focused

Alpine Music Adventure is a unique, colourful and entertaining journey through the German and Swiss Alps. Deb captivates students and teachers alike with virtuoso yodeling styles, cowbell ringing and other traditional Swiss instruments. She uses songs, instruments, costumes and story telling to demonstrate authentic Germanic music, language and heritage.

Deb, an accomplished musician and guitar teacher, has been a performer with the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Schools Program for more than 10 years. During her lively and fun school concerts, students learn about and experience the cultures of Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

Alpine Music Adventure is highly interactive and includes lots of audience participation. Deb teaches children yodeling, scheunkeling, the cowbells and the Bird Dance. They enjoy lively rhythms of waltzes and polkas and singing along with their own colourful marching band. This fun, musical experience is truly "Wunderbar!"

"On behalf of the staff and students at Preston Public, I extend a very sincere thank-you for the excellent presentation you made. I have seen many different performances in our schools and yours ranks very, very highly. Schools who don't take advantage of your talent are missing a great show.
Thanks again for a super job."
